Proud to stand with British Farmers

In light of the recent 2024 Budget announcements, we were proud to stand alongside British farmers in London on 19th November 2024, voicing our support during these challenging times.

The Budget introduces significant changes impacting the agricultural sector, notably:

  • Inheritance Tax Reforms: From April 2026, agricultural assets will face a 20% tax on amounts over £1 million. This change has raised concerns about the future viability of family farms and the preservation of farming traditions.
  • Employer National Insurance Increase: Starting April 2025, employer National Insurance rates will rise to 15%, adding financial pressure on farming businesses already operating with tight margins.

These measures have prompted widespread concern within the farming community, leading to significant protests and calls for policy reassessment.

As Rural Chartered Surveyors and Land Agents, we are committed to supporting our clients through these developments, offering expert advice to navigate the evolving landscape.

We stand with British farmers, advocating for fair and sustainable policies that ensure the prosperity of our agricultural sector.
