Planning appeal success in Hertsmere Conservation Area

Weldon Beesly have recently secured full planning permission on appeal for six new dwellings in Radlett, Hertfordshire.

Working alongside the client managing surveyor, architect and planning technical team, Weldon Beesly planners successfully challenged the reason for refusal put forward by the local planning authority.

The approved dwellings will have a traditional “neo – Victorian” red brick appearance being designed to blend in with the character of the conservation area and nearby locally listed buildings.

The Council’s poor (5 year) housing land supply of 0.98 years weighed into the planning balance, the provision of new dwellings within the settlement being a significant public benefit.

If you have a potential site or land for new housing in mind, please contact Paul Atton or Eleanor Willats at Weldon Beesly for an informal discussion.
