This statement is made as a result of the implementation of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Weldon Beesly LLP is a Limited Liability Partnership incorporated in England and Wales with registered number OC417840. The Registered Office is at 100 South Street, Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire CM23 3BG. Weldon Beesly is a professional services firm providing property and estate management advice to clients and is regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Weldon Beesly has offices in England only, with no international offices or presence.
Services
The services Weldon Beesly provides to its clients are predominantly office or site-based (sites being, for the most part, located in the UK).
Weldon Beeslys’ supply chain in relation to services consists on the whole of other regulated professional services (Chartered Surveyors, Law Firms, Accountancy Firms and Banks). Weldon Beesly considers these to be very low risk in relation to slavery and human trafficking so takes no specific action in relation to these relationships.
The majority of other services supplied to or on behalf of Weldon Beesly are from the construction industry and other services associated with the property (domestic, commercial, rural and forestry) industry including the management of such estates for clients. Weldon Beesly vets its external contractors related to the property industry and to the estate management side of our business to ensure they have the requisite accreditations and are appropriately qualified for the roles they are asked to undertake. These services are again UK based and Weldon Beesly considers them lower risk areas of activity and so takes no additional steps over and above our supplier approval process. Given what Weldon Beesly understands to be a low-risk profile of anyone supplying us with services being involved in slavery and/or human trafficking, we believe our current procedures and ability to rely on regulatory oversight in relation to professional services are sufficient in this regard. Given this low-risk profile, no specific training is provided or undertaken by our staff in relation to these matters.
In relation to the management of estates, Weldon Beesly does not directly employ anyone to undertake work on the estates. Any work required to be undertaken on the estates would ordinarily be undertaken by Weldon Beeslys’ client directly employing such people as are required or instructing a third party contractor.
Goods
In terms of goods supplied to Weldon Beesly , the majority of goods will be goods for use in an office environment. Occasionally Weldon Beesly will be supplied with goods for use outside an office environment, for example, “personal protective equipment”. The supply of either type of good is not a regular occurrence and Weldon Beesly will in future assess whether any additional measures are required in relation to each substantial acquisition of goods.
Given what Weldon Beesly understands to be a low-risk profile of suppliers of goods, no specific training is provided or undertaken by Weldon Beesly staff in relation to these matters.
