Class Q Planning Success – Agricultural Barn to Residential Use
Comments:0

Weldon Beesly have secured the right for our client to convert their agricultural barn to a residential use under Class Q Permitted Development Rights (PDRs).

This is for a property in the Aylesbury Vale, Buckinghamshire and should have been a straight forward process, but we know that many applications are being resisted on spurious grounds, so it was good to get the consent on this.

Weldon Beesly have also had decent success in obtaining consent for change of use of redundant barns to commercial use under Class R PDRs. The constraints and outcomes are very different from the Class Q route, so this should always be considered too.

If you would like information on this particular property, or are considering conversion of redundant farm buildings, please do get in touch.
